We have worked with a number of clients to help them understand the international regulatory framework covering the broad new area of ‘Fintech’. Our focus has primarily been with regard to the way regulation can play a pivotal role in establishing a vibrant industry sector, especially offshore.  Through international research, comparative analysis and country specific deep dives, we have provided businesses with a perspective on possible future regulation as well as discussed strategic objectives and propositions with the boards of both financial service and technology based companies. Whilst it is difficult to predict the future accurately, developing strategies and operational plans to address the future digitalisation of financial services and the customer/ user experience is key for their consumption is critical for many incumbents and new entrants to ensure they are competitive in the fast changing environment.
